If you want to know more about a person, all you have to do is look at his or her watch. A person's watch can say a lot about that individual's attitude and personality. Similarly, if you're shopping for watches, you can use this guide to find a watch style that coordinates with your own traits.
Watch Shapes
A round watch indicates that a person has traditional values and prefers simplicity over complexity. A person wearing a round watch is often straight-forward, but not overly aggressive.
An ovular watch is typically worn by individuals who value balance. A person with an ovular watch will likely be a hard worker, but will know when it's time to stop working and have some fun.
A square or rectangular watch indicates that a person prefers to play by the rules. He or she will typically prefer order and rigidity to spontaneity.
Watch Colors
Classic gold or silver indicate that a person is sophisticated and knows what he or she likes. Wearers of gold and silver watches tend to lead their lives very responsibly. That's not to say they don't know how to have a good time, but they always make sure they've crossed their t's and dotted their i's before moving on to the next thing.
Any other color watch indicates that the wearer is adventurous and a risk taker. This type of person does not have to spend a lot of time thinking before he or she acts. The colorful watch wearer knows in an instant what's right, and then goes for it.

People who wear digital watches often are very precise. They tend to keep up with the latest technology and love finding new ways to do things.
People who wear traditional watches with hands often believe that there's no use in fixing something that's not broken. They're not keen on spending time on projects unless they see their immediate value.

A hand-style watch with large numbers suggests that the wearer is precise, generally both in language and action. This is the kind of person whose words are always carefully thought out and easy to understand.
A watch with small numbers, or with only some numbers even included, indicates that the wearer is very laid-back. He or she is not easy to upset and tends to go with the flow.
A watch with no numbers, or with dots in place of the numbers, is a sign of a free-thinker. This person does not believe in being bound by anything, whether it be time or rules.
